PRISONERS' CAMPS.
TYPHUS AT CASSEL.
London, April 16
A British prisoner at Cassel, in a letter describes the conditions there. What he says recalls the horrors of Wittenburg. The camp is over-crowd-ed, and no one has been able to wash for five months. The sanitary arrangements are horrible, and typhus has broken out among the Russian prisoners. The authorities deliberately mixed Up the Russians and British in order to infect the latter. There are many deaths daily. Only the efforts of two English doctors prevented the disease from wiping out the occupants of the camp.
