Large audiences, attended' both per-/ formances at tho Empiro Theatro on Sattirday, i=nd seldom have such signs of interest and enthusiasm boon displayed as when the drama by tho London Fihr. Company entitled _ "Sons of Satan" Ava« screened. It is a play written by that papular novelist William Le (jueux, and a remarkably clever story. Harry Nor mand, from youth a faithful follower of the Evil One, is the head of a-, gang of thieves and murderers known as the '"Sons of •Satan." Under the name of Paul oe Villereau he is also a famous detective, and both he and his organisation, Freshley's Detective Agency, are well known a.t Scotland Yard. He falls in love -with a pretty actress, Winifred West. The stage-manager of the theatro where Mis©"West is .engaged manages, to persuade the authorities at Scotland 'Yard that Freshley's Agency is not what it seems, and the police succeed in running the gang to earth. A good supporting programme Jia.s been arranged, and the sixth and last episode of the Braga and Domenica serial, entitled "The Return of Geutieman Joe," will be •screened; also the iirst episode of "The Million Dollar Mystery" -as an extra at 10" p.m. Owing to "the unusual length of this programme it will. be. necessary to commence with the Topical Gazettes a.little before 8 o'clock.
