INVALIDED SOLDIERS RETURN.

Three Nelsonians —Lieutenant Stono (Nelson), Lance-Corporal Thomason (Ngatimoti); and Sapper Pahl (Korere) —who returned to New. Zealand in the hospital ship Maheno, reached Nolsoii by the Pateena. early on Saturday, morning, and were met by several members of the Sick and-Wounded Soldiers' Fund.

Lieutenant Stone is recovering from illness, and Lance-Corporal Thomason, who was shot in the chest during the G&llipoli fighting, is also well on the way to recover}'. Sapper Pahl, who suffered from shell shock and also had an attack of fever, lias been discharged, but hopes to have another turn at active service.

Trooper W. Rowlands, who also returned by the Maheno, remained behind in Wellington for hospital treatment, being too unwell to proceed further.
