SERVICES TO ALLIES RECOGNISED

The King has conferred the rank anc! status of a first-class chief of; the Bombay Presidency for life on the Aga Khan, with a salute of eleven guns. The bsnour is noteworthy because the Aga Khan's authority is spiritual, not territorial. The recipient has rendered great' services to the Allies through his influence over Moslems.
