"Tlie enemy on Tuesday night, aft-er a heavy bombardment, with a large proportion of lachrymatory shells, raided our "trenche snear'La Boiselle.1 We drove them oat.
"On Wednesday night the enemy thrice attacked our trenches north-east of- Carney; The attackers reached the trenches, but were driven back."
