VISITS OF AMERICAN INQUIRERS
BLOCKED
(Received April 14, 8.45 p.m.) London, April 13. Sir Edward Grey stated in the House of Commons that the German authorities had refused to allow representatives of the United States Embassy to visit the "Wittenburg prirsoners' camp during the outbreak of typhus among British1 .soldiers, alleging the danger of infection as a reason for their refusal. United States Embassy officials had paid three visits to the camp since October. Their reports will be published shortly.
