(Received April 14, 9.5 p.m.) Rome, April.l 4. A communique says:-— "The enemy by means of a surprise ifctack rushed our positions in the Ledro Valley, and also took Mount Sperone.' We made a colmter-atack and recovered the positions, after a deadly hand-to-hand struggle, extending our occupation to the slopes of Sperone. "We wrecked enemy trenches at St. Michele and ' San Martino with hand bombs. "There were, artillery duels along the whole of the (Jarso front."
