A TURKISH COMMUNIQUE.

Amsterdam, Jan. 25

A Turkish communique says:—The British attacked 35 miles east of Kut-el-Amara on both sides of the Tigris. The battle lasted six hours. We coun-ter-attacked and drove back the enemy some kilometres. We counted 3000 English dead on the battlefield. Our losses were, comparatively ' small. .We granted Coloner Aylmer'sy request for an armistice to bury the dead. Prisoners state that in the previous battles at Sheikshaad the British lost 3000 dead and wounded.

We attacked another British column at Korua, compelling it to retreat leaving a hundred dead.
