OTTOMAN JEWS DEFRAUDED

Evidence in the Police Court showed that during the fortnight preceding their arrest two men named Dallas and Allmani, received £1000 from Ottoman Jews, many of "-whom were diamond dealers from Antwerp, who were waiting; for permits to leave. The Home Office restrict](ins were removed early in December. Allmani pretended to have influence at the Home Office and to bo able.to obtain permits and prevent Ottomans being interned. One Jew paid him £100 for a permit.
