TWO SURF BATHERS DROWNED.

Creymouth, Jan. 18. A double drowning fatality occurred on the South Beach this afternoon. A numbfrr of persons were in the surf, bathing, and Constable Dillon and Nurse l?egan were a considerable distance out. Nnr.se Rejr.an got into difficulties. Dillon attempted to rescue her, hut both were drowned. Dillon's body has iiOt' been recovered.
