GERMAN COMMANDERS AT LOGGERHEADS.
QUARRELS BETWEEN HINDENBURG AND FALKENHAYN.
London,! Jan. 5
The "Echo de Paris" is reliably informed that there are grave dissensions in the German higher command, especially' between Hindenburg (commanding in Russia), and Falkenhayn (Chief cf.the General Staff), resulting in a series of counter-orders. Divisions are transferred, recalled, and retransferred. The journal comments: "The General Staff is hesitating, and does not know how to act in the increasingly painful and difficult situation."
