ENTERING IMPERIAL POLITICS.

Sir George Reid has been chosen as Unionist candidate for St. George's, Hanover .Square. The selection is not altogether .a surprise, as it was thought he would probably enter politics in England. The vacancy was caused by Sir Alexander Henderson's elevation to the poerage.
Mr. Gibson Bowles, Independent Unionist candidate-, will possibly retire"in view of Sir George Reid's selection.
