WAIMEA ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.
(From "The Colonist," Oct. 12.) The nineteenth annual meeting of the Waimea Athletic and Cycling Association was held in tho Oddfellows' Lodge room, Wakeiieid, on the 4th inst. Mr C. Knapp (president) occupied the chair Tho baluncc-shc-iti, as already published, was read and adopted. It was unanimously rosolvcd that the sports be held on Boxing Day, as usual, and that the entire profits bo given to the Sick and Wounded Soldiers' Fund. Hunter, cycling, Mr Alex. Baigent; starter, Mr Joseph Taylor; timekeeper, Mr. W • Moves: treasurer, Mr E. S. Houltt; secretary. Mr E. F. Shuttleworth; general committee, Messrs W. "Palmer, 13. Hodpson, W. Bullard, J. Mcßndc, W. Martin, C. Clayden, F. Fowler .J. Fowler, Albert Gibbs, and J. W. Eves. A vote of thanks to the president terminated the meeting.
