NELSON FIRE BRIGADE.
ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the Nelson Volunteer Fire Brigade took place in the station room last night, when Captain Woodward presided over a full muster of the members. In a brief address, Captain- Woodward congratulated the members on tho work they had dene for the city during .: A -pear. He said he considered the pasv■ „ —^ndidly in getting they had don© op^ " —Vq of fire, under some serious outbrto*.-^ • «i The harmony existing between the iu»^ and their officers had enabled them all to carry out their duties in a successful way. The brigade was fortunate in having an admirable stamp of young, fellows in its ranks.
The officers were re-elected, as has been the case for the past four years. Following are the officers:—Captain Woodward; Lieutenant A. Dee; Foreman EL Stewart, No. 1 reel; JForeman J. Nesbitt; No. 2 reel; ForemanW. Woodward, hook and ladder; Becretary, Mr. E. Boyes; treasurer, Mr. J. E. Hounsell; honorary surgeon, Dr. Befct, Dr Andrew having gone to the front, Dr. Bett, who has been acting as surgeon, was elected in his stead, subject to acceptance. On the conclusion of the business, the members spent a couple of hours pleasantly in a- social manner.
