Mr William Mortlock, eldest son of Mrs ivTortloci, of Te Roti, and Miss Leila Beatrice Louisa Perry, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas' Perry, Mangatoki, were united in wedlock by the Rev. Mr Lowry, at the-Presbyter-ian Church, Eltham, recently. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly dressed in cream silk, trimmed with silk Maltese lace and pearls. She wore a veil and orange blossoms and .carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and maiden hair fern. She was attended by Miss Vera Perry, as bridesmaid, who wore a becoming dress of cream silk delaine, trimmed with silk Maltese lace, a wide belt of charmeuse, and hat of white charmeuse with white osprey and velvet, and fruit and satin leaves. Sho carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums, heath and asparagus. Mr James Mortlock acted as best man. bride's travelling dress was, a navy blue tailored costume, white hat ,*ith large ostrich plumes, arid a handsome set of white furs. After the wedding breakfast The happy couple left by motor [ car for the south for their honeymoon. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was j a travelling rug, and his to the bride a gold watch and chain, and to the bridesmaid a gold band ring. The wedding presents numerous and costly, and including several cheques, testified to the popularity of the bride and bride groom and of their parents. Mrs Mort-, lock, who is a niece of Messrs C. and W. H. Jenkins, Riwaka, has many relations in the Nelson district.
