ELECTION OF TRUSTEES, ETC.

It was resolved that the member, of. trustees (under-Mr Skerrett's scheme) bo three, and -Messrs C J. Harley, B. ,J..Allen, arid-Walter Snodgrass were elected. . ■ . <

Ie was resolved that-the mimfber _of t(he Advisory Committee be seven, and Drs. Bett and \Vashbourn, Rev. W. Baumber, Messrs H. Eveiiett (Riwaka), A. P. Allport, James Hunt (Richmond) and R. B. Jackson were elected. It was further resolved, that associate raeir-bers of the Advisory Board be provided for to assist the Board in connection with the outlying districts, and it. was resolved to ask the branches concerned to appoint associate members for the respective districts of Collinswood, Takaka. Tapawera and surrounding areas, Murehison, and Sounds. Associate members will not be called to meeting of the Board, but will be the officiarrepresentatives of the Board m their respective districts to supply local ir-formation, etc., as required.

GENERAL. Tho Minister for Defence advised in reply to tho piotest from Nelson, that he had given instructions Mat saloon passages should in future be provided for returned soldiers if they are invalias. (Applause.) ' In reply to the Murchxson delegate, the Mayor stated that it was not. intended to close the subscription lists. There was £10,000 in sight, and it should increase to £20,000. The conference closed with a vote or thanks to the Mayor for presiding.
