Major A. A. Cprrigaa has taken over ©barge of the" Wellington military, group, viand Captain Grover ha.s gone to Palmersfon North; as Chief Embarkation Officer.
The "Sun" understands that Mr. Scarfe (formerly of ~N.elsbn) manager of the New Zealand Clothing Factory's branch at Chfistchurcn, has been promoted to a more responsible position, and will be leaving Christchurch shortly.
Chaplain-Captain J. McKenzie,, formerly of .Shannon, who has been at Trentham Camp for some months, has been appointed Presbyterian chaplain to the Trentha'nv. Regiment, and will be succeeded in the camp by ChaplaiuOaptam J. W. ■Shaw, of Invercargill.
The Wairarapa Presbytery yesterday nominated the Rev. F. W.'Currie, of Balclutha. as Moderator of the next General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand. —Press Association.
Mr A? P. Webster, who until recently was inspector for the Bank of Australasia in New Zealand., has received the appointment of inspector for the Bank for the whole of Australasia.
