THE RECHABITES.
Tho quarterly summoned meeting of the Bud of <Pk>mise Tent was held in tho Rechabite. Hall on Tuesday evening, when the C.R., Bro. W A. Mitrhenof, presided over a fine atk-ndanpe of members. The balance-sheet aj\d auditor's report was presented, which showed steady progress was being made both financially and numerically. The following officorr,, afiier keen competition wer<? declared elected :—C.R.. W. A. Mitehewr: D.R. R. Watsjnj L., A. W. Day; G J. A Cass; C.S., L. A. Finchf; 8.5., J. K. Johnston. Bros. E. E. Boyes and J. M. Calder were re elected secretary and treasurer respoctively. It was announced that out of a membership of a little over two thousand Rechabites over one- hundred had gone to tho front and of this number fifteen belonged to the Nelson Tent. It was unanimously resolved to raise the salary of the secretary. Members were loud in their praiso of the excellent work he is doing for thh tent and tihe Order generally. A discussion was started with regard to the coming gala day and precession, but it ended abruptly when members were informed that iio invitation had boon received to take part in the proceedings. A vote of sympathy was passed to Mr and Mrs 'Rob'b, whoso only son, Bro. Tom Ro'bb, wns dangerously wounded at the Dardanelles.
