A German official message says :— "We have occupied Tukkum and Schuixt, and captured Windau. Our pursuit of the enemy from Altauz has reached the district of Hofzetmberge, north-west cf Mitau, where the enemy had previously prepared positions.' Fighting proceeds east of Popeliany • and Kurtsany. "We broke through the! Russian position between the Pissa and the Skrwa at several points. The Rus-j sians evacuated the position and are: now retreating towards the Narew." i
