In. reply to a letwjr forwarded by the •New Zealand Government in' April last to the Belgian Minister in London regarding immigration- of Belgians to tho [Dominion, the following cable message r.vas received to-day:—"With reference to your letter of 'April 7th, tho Belgian Minister states that, owing to tho •he-ay v loss in population sustained during the war, the Belgian Government much regret they are unaolo to con-j sidoT the suggestion for the encourage-; ment of immigration of Belgian wo-j men.
