INCIDENT ON THE MOERAKI.
SHIP FILLED WITH AMMONIA FUMES. j (Received June 15, 11.30 p.m.) Sydney, June 15. The'passengers by the Moeraki had an exciting experience. They noticed a strong smell of ammonia, and the ship filled with gas. It was believed that a fire had broken out. Men descended tho hold and discovered that a drum containing chemicals ha-d started to leak. They were overpowered by the fumes, but succeeded in getting the drum on deck.
