Dunedin, June 14. It was. stated at a 'meeting <jf the Patriotic Association, to-day tiiat the patriotic funds included the sum of £14,650. representing unconditional donations'bv the public. It was resolved to set-aside £13,000 for the maintenance and assistance of re tinned -soldiers and sailors and their dependents, and also the dependents of those who may die oil active service or may die. after tJieir return to the Dominion as a result of active service. Tho sum of £1000 allocated for the .purpose of meeting local needs.
