THE DARDANELLES.
GERMAN TREACHERY. A CHAPLAIN^INDICTMENT. AUSTRALIAN WOUNDED - CHEERFUL. Sydney, June 14. Chaplain Robertson writes from Egypt that there is no end of German treachery. They shouted to cease fire as stretcher bearers were coming. They were stretcher bearers, but on the stretchers were machine guns. They fired on our dressing sheds and hospital ships. An officer, writing from Alexandria, after describing the cheerfulness and impatience to return to the firing line of Australian wounded, adds: "But you should hear their opinion of- seaside pampers, football wasters, and such tripe. It would blister your ears." The letter finishes: "All maintain everywhere that one trained . Australian equals three of any other trained men." Australian easualtie-s to date are 7623, including 1158 dead.
