GIFT AUCTION.
• A gift auction will be held in central Trafalgar street'on Saturday ovenm^, tho 19th inst., the proceeds'of which will be devoted to patriotic funds. Already several contributions,, including; a sack of potatoes, a violin, a clock, a quantity of honey, a camera, etc., have been received. Tho lolloping aro the latest donations:—Mr E._ B. Jackson, breech-loading gun ; Miss Blick, 1 sheep; Mr Watt. (Wakapuaka), 1 sucking pig; Mrs Cropp (Wai-iti), 2 canaries in oa£o. Mr Alfred Gould has kindly consented to conduct the auction, i urther donations for tho sale will be gladly received by Mrs Lock.
