The steamer Athcarron^ coal-laden from Barry, was submarined and sunk without notice. The crew were saved.
The schooner Express was submarined. The crew landed in Norway.
A submarine sank two trawlers and chased a third for twelve miles until a patrol boat appeared, when the pursuit was precipitately abandoned. All the crews were saved.
Submarines in the past four days have sunk seven Loweistoft trawlers.
