The hearing of the charge againsi Alice Parkinson of murdering Albert West was concluded/ at." the Supreme Court to-day, before tho Chief Justice. After a retirement of over tnrce hours, the jury returned a verdict of guilty oi manslaughter, with a strong recommendation tor mercy on account of the provocation the'accused had received. His Honour, said lie did not think it was a case'where' clemency could bo allowed. It was a cold, premeditated _ murder: Tho pecused was sentenced to imprisonment for r.iie term of her natural lire.
