Official.—The newspaper "Army Messenger1' reports that a Russian submarine attacked a fleet of ten battleships between Windau and the Island of Gothland. She fired several .torpedoes . and- as she dived heard loud explosions. The German fleet was recently active near the Gulf of .Riga. When convinced of its presence our submersiblea placed mine hurriors and sailed southwesterly. A German second-class cruiser strtek a mine and was towed to Li ban. A Russian submarine aank the steamer Hindenburg, near Papcnsee.-
