RUSSIAN SUCCESSES.
The Prime Minister has received the following by cable from the High Commissioner :—
London, May 31, 3.35 p.m. In the Baltic, on Friday, near Sawdenil, the Russians captairod. nine guns, seven machine guns, prisoners, and other trophies. On the Middle, and Lower Dubissa I the enemy offensive was renewed. The Russians, falling back on Saturday beyond the river, stopped the enemy from crossing the river. ■In Galicia the battle continue. On Saturday the enemy evacuated the right bank'of the San to the mouth of the river Lubaczwoka. , There' were successful Russian coun-ter-attacks at Kanikow and Naklo, capj turing 3000 prisoners, 60 officers, ma!chine guns, 'searchlights, and commis'ariat stores. ; Beyond the Dniester the Russians captured 600 prisoners. 70 officers, and eight machine guns. The Russian offensive in the Dolina Valley compelled the enemy to evacuate the right bank of the Svitza. London, June 1, 6.50 a.m. .In the Shavli region and on the Dniester, between Stryi and Dolina, the enemy began a disorderly retreat. Seven 'thousand prisoners and 30 quick-firers were taken.
