£70 VOTED TO PATRIOTIC FUNDS

Mr. Win. Lints, the organiser of the recent Queen Carnival in connection with the 12th Regiment Band, left last evening for Gisborne. Prior to his departure the executive committee'• wet. and expressed its appreciation of .the manner in which Mr. Lints had -conducted the Carnival, which, it was announced, had proved a success oor<h financially and in respect to the programmes provided.
