SALE OF WORK.

" The annual sale of work in connection with the Presbyteriau Church was opened in the Presbyterian Hull yesterday . afternoon by the Mayor (Mr. W, Lock), * who was accompanied by the Mayoress! Mrs. Lock was presented with a beautiful ijoiiquet by. Rosic Robertson. In introducing the Mayor, the Rev. j. H. Tea Kiosk: Mesdames Rowc, Walker,, and Stuart, Misses M. and 'J. MacKenzie, Howe'and Black. Flower Stall: Mesdambs-Weir, Angus, C BarJtrop and Miss Young. Competitions resulted as follows: — Hat-trimming for men: Mr. G. F. Dodds 1, Mr. E. 0. Weir 2. Nail-driving for ladies: Mrs. Walker 1, Miss Stewart -'2. Miss MeCbnchie 3. The sale will be continued this afternoon and evening. To-night a Scottish concert arrantrea by Miss Dodds and MrJohn 'fait wif! be given.
