BARTFELD
DESPERATE CONFLICT IN BUKO-
VINA

Official—There has been fierce artillery and bayonet fighting' north of Bartfeld. We took prisoner twenty officers and 1200 men.
We also took prisoner twenty-five officers and 2000 men, besides three guns, on the front between Mezolabovez and the Uszok Pass.
Desperate fighting occurred on Saturday and Sunday at the village- of Okna, north of Czernowitz. We took 1000 prisoners who had been left behind by the Austrians.
