AMERICA AND THE BLOCKADE:
The French captured three lines of trenches southeast of St Mihiel, and gained a footing in the German works north-east of Regaieville, near thiaucourt Petrograd reports fierce fighting north of Bartfeld, in the Carpathians, and also north of Czemowitz, tbe Russians capturing many prisoners. The United States has addressed a friendly Note to Great Britain o* the subject of the rights of neutral commerce under the blockade. The Note is welcomed by the Loudoa newspapers,
