Last evening theu. .Emigre Theatre Avas'again crowded by a large and enthusiastic audience, when a very fine programme-of greafevariety was screened. In the afternoon a large number of children and adults enjoyed a performance of "England's Menace" and supporting programme. To-night there will be a complete chang© of programme, headed by a sensational Domino drama entitled "Fires of Ambition." Jim Patton and Joe Braly are partners ;in a. mining claim. Jim forces a quari rel over the division of their first cleanup, and, thinking he has killed Joe, puts the body in a canoe and lets it float down the river. He goes back to civilisation^ and realises all his ambitions living a life of selfish pleasure. At last he is sent out West to see to some Indian reservations. There, he finds Joe Braly, who has been rescued by Indians and lived there ever since. The tables are turned^ and it is Jim who is now sent out homeless into the desert. The supporting programme will include Edison and Kalem dramas, the latest Keystone and other comedies and the latest number of the Australian Gazette. The'usual matinee will be held at 2.30 p.m. to-day. COUNTRY TOUR. Motueka' will be visited to-morrow night and Richmond on Thursday.
