Messrs Burbidge and Son report as follows on the Wellington fruit and produce market: — Owing to the wet stormy weather during the last few days the demand for eating fruit has not been so good, but with brighter weather a better demand will come. Large quantities of the late peaches have come on the market, and prices have declined. Cooking apples are in good demand at fair values. Potatoes are scarce, owing to wet weather in tho South Island. Current prices:— Tomatoes, 2s to 2s 6d Peaches Is l_od to 2s 4d.
