'At the wool sales there was good competition 'for all classes. Scoured, crossbreds and slipes were dearer, and others firm. At Bradford quarter and halfbreds are very firm, and Merinos steady.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercan- ; tile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their JLondon house under date March 23rd:— 'There is good compotition.
