WORK AND WAGES.
-«>—— ARBITRATION COURT
INDUSTRIAL DISPUTES TO BE
HEARD.
[United Peess Association.]
Wellington, MaiMi Ll!',. The Arbitration Court to-day decided to resume the hearing of industrial disputes. The President of tho Court said that, although certain industries were suffering from the effects of the war, the Dominion was singularly free from any ill effects, and was enjoying a degree of prosperity quite remarkable under the circumstances. This was largely due to the exceedingly high prices ruling for primary products. He hoped th© workers would refrain from attempting to impose fresh burdens upon industries which could not reasonably be expected to bear them. In any award the Court might make it wouai reserve the right to review the cor.ci. tions should due cause be shown.
