SCHOOL FARM CAMP.

Feilding, March 20.^ The Wanganui Education Board's school farm camp completed its first week on Mr. E. Short's Almadale farm at Cheltenham to-day. Fifty boys are under canvas in charge of agricultural instructors Grant and Banner. Practical instruction was given regarding Hereford cattle. Shire horses, and Romney sheep, Mr Short placing his experts and stud stock at the disposal of the boys during the day. At night lantern displays specially relating to .farming, subjects -were given. The boys were very keen, and the results very satisfactory. The cooking is done by the boys in batches, and the health of all in, camp is aood. In addition to the boys taking the agricultural course in the secondary department, the chairman of the Board initiated a new departure by inckdms? some boys in the hi £ hest. standards of S-bIS schools and they seemed amongst the best.
