Grapes-: Choice large 6d to 7d, moderate 4d to 5d per lb.

Messrs .Burbidge and Son report a* follows on the Wellington fruit and produce market: — Our market is fairly good for all kinds of fruit, especially cooking apples, Cox's Orange Pippin apples, Cape gooseberries and mushrooms. Potatoes keep firm, and good clean samples sell well. Tomatoes are low, owing to the bulk of the local supplies coming on the market. Eggs are scarce and rising in value. Green peas are scarce, and realise high prices. Current prices: Tomatoes: Nelson 2s to 2s fid, Hutt 2s 6d to 3s.

Peaches: Small 2s, large 2s 6d to 3s. Plums: Dark 4s to 4s Od, green 2s 9d to 3s 9d per half-case. Pears: Beurre Diel 4s 3d to ss, Beurre Clairgeau 4s to 4s 9d, Bon Jersey 4s 6d to 5s 6d, Vicar of Winkfield 4s to ss, Beurre Capiaumont 4s 6d to ss, Marie Louise ss> 9d to 7s per dump case.

Apples: Cox's Orange Pippin 6s to 7s 9d, Ribstone Pippin 6s to 7s 6d, Scarlet Pearmain 5s 9d to 6s 6d, Jonathan 5s to 6s. Golden Russet 5s to 5s 6d, Brownlee's Russet 4s ,6d to 5s 3d. Munroe's Favourite 5s to 5s 6d, Alfriston 4s 9d to 5s 6d, smaller varieties 3s 9d to 4s 9d per dump case. Cape gooseberries 6d per Ib. Mushrooms 4d per Ib. Eggs Is lOd per dozen ; scarce.

Laery and Co., Ltd., report as follows on the Wellington fruit and produce market: — The demand for choice dessert and cooking apples, as well as for choice pears, continues excellent, and consignments are recommended. Peaches havo declined in value, and tomatoes arc neglected. Other fruits Are selling well.
