Potatoes keep firm, and good clean samples sell well. Tomatoes are low, owing to the bulk of the local supplies coming on the market. Eggs are scarce and rising in value. Green peas are scarce, and realise high prices. Current prices: Tomatoes: Nelson 2s to 2s fid, Hutt 2s 6d to 3s.
