f United Pbesu Association.]
Auckland, March 19. « The Master Bakers' Association discussed the question of a further advance in the price of bread, and decided almost, unanimously that there be no further increase ai present in the price of the 21b loaf, which is now sd. It was considered that the market for flour showed a hardening tendency, and that the bakers would probably be compelled eventually to further increase their prices. At a meeting of the Labour Representation Committee, consisting of delegates from 23 trade unions, an animated discussion took place over increased prices of food. It was resolved, "That, owing to growing dissatisfaction with the inactivity of tihe Government in dealing with the abnormal situation arising out of the war, whereby the .people are being ruthlessly exploited by individuals controlling the necessities of life, the meeting considers it the duty of Cabinet to immediately call Parliament together in order that the representatives cf tho people may take a hand in dealing with tht. situation "
