REPORTED BROACHING OF THE
SPANDAU HOARD

Germany has opened the Spandau war chest, and new 1873 British sovereigns are coming into circulation, via Scandinavia.
The Imperial War Fund, which is stored in the Julius Tower of the Spandau citadel, is supposed to amount to £6,000,000, though it is said to have been added to in recent years. It was mainly derived from the French war indemnity.
