Auckland, March. 18. There was a steady rainfall in the Auckland district last night, and it continues to-day. Napier, March 18. The best rainfall experienced at Napier since. May last year set in last niffht. and it gives every promise oi continuing. Reports from the country indicate that it is widespread. Hastings, March 18. Rain has fallen since last night, and continues.
