The Good Templars" Grand Lodge -session will not-Ik: held this year.. Ihe next session will take place in ISO 7. As regards Nelson, Mr Watson has again'been chosen as District Deputy. Mr W. T Bond as Lodge Deputy, Mr Preen as Electoral Deputy. Mr Vercoe is the new Chief Templar of the Loyal Nelson Lodge, No. 31.
Mr. H. S. Trott, popularly known as "Bert," who was employed at the Wakefield railway station', volunteered for the front, and his services having been accented, a number of his friends and well-wishers met him at a social gathering prior to his departure for Trentham. The social was held in the Pigeon Valley school, and was largely atfcp-nded. Mr. Trott is a great favourite among the young folk, and very mtich liked by the elder folk for his kind and eenial nature. He has always been ready to assist anyone, and most obliging on all occasions. This was^the 2iV?t of a neat speech made by Mr. G. Wilkens. who at the same time pre 7 sented Mr. Trott with a fountain pen as-a'gentle reminder that his friends expected .to hear from the recipient from time to time. '
