WALTER CRANE.

(Received March 16, 8.5 p.m.) London, Marck 15. Walter Crane, the decorative painter .and writer, is dead.

Mr Walter Crane, R.W.S., painter writer, lecturer, aud Socialist, was born in 1845. He was mostly selftaught, and exhibited at the Royal Academy at the age of sixteen, in 1862. His first illustrated book ? "The New Forest," was published in 1863.
