TREATMENT OF GERMAN PRISONERS IN ENGLAND.

A White Paper gives the correspondence between the British Government and the American Ambassador respecting the tr&atment of German prisoners in Great. Britain. The Government states that naval and military officers are given'half-pay, corresponding to their 'ranks in the British infantry, and if the Government learns that British officers in Germany are receiving the full pay of the corresponding ranks in the' German Army, it will be prepared to do the.same in the case of German, prisoners.
