After seven months' stay the American forces hauled down the flag and began embarkation for ■ the United States. The city is quiet, but the inhabitants are nervous regarding future possibilities. The Constitutionalists have entered the city.
The Americans are not giving up formal possession, but merely evacuating the- city and allowing the Mexican force to occupy it.
Villa's forces are still fighting the Carranzists. General Blanco,' commanding at Mexico City, states that he is acting under the orders of neither Villa nor Carranza, but is holding the capital until some form of government its established.
