COLEMAN'S V. MOTUPIKO.
A cricket match was played at Motupiko on the 21st inst., Motupiko v. Coleman's. The Motupiko were defeated by 58 runs. The teams were 14 a-si;!e, with 11 in the field. A number of ladies were present to watch the play, and- they provided afternoon tea. Mr. Louis Kerr, of Nelson, has presented a trophy for the contest, and it has been allotted for the best batting average in the games to be played. Scores: —
