SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY

The annual meeting in connection with the anniversary of St. John's Methodist Sunday School was held last night, and was well attended. The Rev. W. Baumber .presided... The Superintendent ,str A. G. Nightingale) gave; the report, which showed • there are 21 teachers'and officials and 254 scholars- (including the Bible classes), and the average attendance was 182. The prize list was as follows: — TABLET PRIZES. At the Sunday sendees and last night the children sang a number of hymns, their singing being an attractive> feature, and reflected credit on the children and their painstaking conductor (Mr A. P. Mr. Thomas Symes,' of Takaka has been elected as a member of the- Nelson Education Board for the Middle ward. There were five candidates, and Mr Symes tad a substantial majority..
