RED CROSS FUND.

TO-DAY'S GARDEN PARTY

All . arrangements for the garden party to be held in the Hospital grounds this afternoon and evening in aid of the Red Cross Fund are complete! The fete will be formally opened at 2.30 p.m. by Bishop Mules, and the Mayor (Mr W. Lock) will also give a brief address. Light refreshments of various kinds will be procurable, and there will be a Christmas tree and numerous stalls and sideshows. Music will bo provided, and in the evening the grounds will be illuminated. There will, by the way, be a mysterious visitor in the person of one Mi Spondulex, and a prize is offered for the person who first discovers him. Messrs Newman Bros, will run their motor passenger lorry to and from the grounds, and will generously give all the proceeds to the fund. Gay's Livery Stables will, run a . dr;ig: in the same "«vay. Tiius every passenger who pays the fare for the use of the lorry will at the same time be giving; a donation to the fund.
