NEW BILLS.

Wellington, Oct. 6. Five new Bills have been introduced m Parliament. They comprise a measure to encourage the breeding of horses for military purposes,, amendments of the Workers' .Dwellings and Education iAcfcs,- a Bill to encourage the manufacture of iron and steel in New Zealand, and a Bill making provision for shipping in the Cook Islands. The lastnamed was read a second time and referred to the Statutes Revision Committee. - , The Workers' Dwellings Amendment ! Bill, according to the Prime Minister. ! increases from £600 to £750 the maximum advance for a worker's dwelling and allows the Government to dispose ©f areas of land which have been bought for sites for dwellings but have not been used. The present Act fixes the !
