A meeting of grain merchants at Timaru. resolved to protest against the prices fixed by the Government for milling wheat and flour,, as they ivould volve mar»y holders in serious financial •loss. In view of the present rhort stocks-on band and the prospect of short supplies next season the meeting considered that 5s 3d f.o.b. for wheat and £13 f.o.b. for flour^ as originally recommended by the Commission, would Jbe fair and reasonable.
